Mission
Through various educational programs, mentoring relationships and scholarships, the Boston Chapter upholds the ONS vision, mission and values, promoting excellence in quality oncology nursing care within the Boston metropolitan area.

It is through our various Chapter programs and events that we support the ONS values of innovation, excellence, and advocacy. The Boston Chapter provides a local network of members to share ideas, seek advice and talk through the challenges and successes of oncology nursing.

Daunielle Ricardi,

PRESIDENT
Wherever I am in my career I am passionate about changing the cancer landscape and the patient’s cancer journey. From infusion nursing at MGH Cancer Center to nursing education, clinical research and now as a Senior Oncology Specialty Consultant at Bayer, I am committed to the patient experience.
As president of BONS, I am excited to facilitate the connection of oncology nurses across the Boston metropolitan area for education, scholarship, and social engagement aligned with ONS values to enhance exceptional quality oncology nursing care in the region.
Victoria Germon,

PRESIDENT ELECT
My diverse professional background includes direct patient care, leadership, research, education, and pharmaceutical experience. I am also a cancer survivor. Currently, I am an Oncology Clinical Educator for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine where I have the privilege of educating and supporting oncology patients and healthcare professionals throughout New England. Each experience has built upon the unique perspective I carry, full of authenticity and gratitude.
I sincerely appreciate being chosen as President Elect. I am most excited to live out the ONS mission, support this chapter and its board members, celebrate our roles within oncology, promote professional growth, highlight best practices, fulfill educational needs, and create connections because, ultimately, it means we are striving to improve our patient outcomes and experiences.

NOMINATING CHAIR
As a Clinical Specialist for the Center for Clinical and Professional Development at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I am committed to empower nurses caring for oncology patients by sharing knowledge and developing connections across our hospitals, clinics and industry.
I hope to serve as an ambassador for ONS membership and Oncology Certification throughout our community, both within and beyond Boston. I also hope to engage newer oncology nurses in the Boston chapter of ONS.

Throughout my 24-year oncology career, I have been deeply committed to patient centric care, advancing oncology nursing through education, collaboration, and professional development. ONS has been a constant source of evidence-based knowledge, professional connection, and support, shaping both my practice and my passion for this work.
I am honored to serve as Secretary of BONS and to support the continued growth of the chapter through strong collaboration, transparent operations, and meaningful engagement. I look forward to working alongside the board and BONS members to foster educational excellence, connection, and shared learning for oncology nurses across the Boston region, in alignment with ONS values and our collective commitment to high-quality patient care.
Alissa Gentile,

TREASURER
As the Director of Research Nursing at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I am passionate about the growth and development of the clinical research programs in the community settings. Through leadership, implementation and evaluation of clinical oncology research, it's important to me to break down barriers of trial enrollment to allow for greater access to clinical trials for the community population.
As the ONS treasurer, I am committed to overseeing the management and reporting on the organization's financial administration and enforcing financial policies and procedures. I am excited to be part of the board to support the organization's goals and help drive decision-making for success in its mission.
Onyinye Mkparu,

DIRECTOR AT LARGE
As the Nursing Director of the Hematology Oncology unit at Brigham & Women's Hospital and over fourteen years of oncology nursing experience in a wide variety of settings, I have a genuine passion for oncology nursing and share ONS's mission to promote excellence in oncology nursing care, education, research and practice.
I am thrilled to have been elected as the Director at Large and I look forward to collaborating with the fellow Board members and membership as a whole to further support other fellow nurses' professional growth.
Jean Treacy,

DIRECTOR AT LARGE
I have served oncology patients and their families for my entire 30-year nursing career. From bedside nursing, to the care I provided as a Nurse Practitioner at MGH, and now as an Account Executive for Abbvie Oncology, I strive to keep the patient as my North Star. It is my hope that my diverse nursing background, recent MBA attainment, and leadership skills will help to shape the Oncology nurses of the future.
As the Director at Large of BONS I will work closely with the other Board members to ensure that both the regional and national ONS goals are met while keeping the focus on the patients we serve.
Alexandra Carty,

PROGRAM COMMITTEE & SCHOLARSHIP CHAIR
I am a staff nurse on a hematology/oncology unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where I deliver inpatient care to patients undergoing stem cell transplants and other complex treatment courses. Before pursuing nursing, I earned a BS in Marketing from Bentley University and later worked in a finance role. I am eager to leverage my business foundation and to support member engagement and help develop impactful programming.
