Burnout Prevention through Compassion Cultivation Training ~ 12/12/21 @4:30PM EST

The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated the prevalence of distress and burnout among healthcare professionals. The cost of caring, in sometimes difficult work environments, can lead to exhaustion and empathy fatigue, depleting the very core of what draws us to this work: our care for others. This program provides an introduction to the science of compassion, clarifying how cultivating related skills may protect against burnout. At the drop-in session, we will practice a compassion exercise, outline course details, and field questions, while interested participants can also choose to sign up for the eight-week course developed at The Stanford School of Medicine.

More details about the Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) can be found on the Compassion Institute’s website.

Please feel free to share this link with other healthcare professionals that you think may be interested. As an oncology nurse, I would love to offer the CCT course to the BONS community. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
